MathGeek The fishing in Louisiana is better, the limits are higher, and most of the year you can find a lot more space. The jetties in Cameron Parish are my favorite, but the jetties at Belle Pass are very good too. For those who prefer beach fishing (or don't have a boat), I have posted some videos to youtube and articles at the LA fishing forums explaining in great detail how we reliably catch our limit of bull redfish.

I love port aransas. havent been there since I was 18 but I definitely remember buying seafood with the parents at the docks, and frying it up right there. nice sheepshead!
