I can think of a couple small businesses you could call up there that would know. I think I've even called some of the restaurants ne t to the lake before to see what's up.
I saw a report that Evergreen Recreation isn't letting anyone on until the ice is 12" thick. Not sure if that's legitimate or not. I know it's been completely capped for a while.
I have been going back and forth with the parks supervisor up there, I will post if I get any useful info. So far he just said they haven't measured, and its fish at your own risk. No mention of a 12'' rule so far yet.
Nope wouldn't risk my arse but if theres 4 inches of ice I don't consider that a risk, and the reward is FISHING and trying out new gear for the trips that matter. So yeah I wanna know if theres 4 inches Ha
Bandrews and I were fishing with my kids up there last year before it was capped. We were on 4-6" of ice but the inlet was still wide open.
Long story short the Sheriff paid us a visit and said some people had called expressing concern of kids on the ice. She was very nice and said we just need to be careful and that they would prosecute if something happened to the kids or us.
