Anteroman When I fished a tippet, on my braid I always used an Albright. I no longer use a tippet.
Here's a link to the best tying site I've found.

Best (and thinnest) Knot for Mono Leader on Braid? (for topwater)

Been using the FG knot for braid to fluoro on my spinning reel so far this year, love it's thin diameter and hasn't broke yet. A couple snags and the break occurred at the palomar.

Been using leaders only this year (tried leaders last year) and I'm putting together a dedicated topwater rig with braid and a mono leader. Last year I tried the uni knot but found it was fairly bulky passing through the last guide. I want to use the FG knot here but not sure if this knot is appropriate for mono.

Would the FG be as effective for use with braid --> mono as it is with braid --> fluoro? Or is there something different/better for this application?
