I'm flying into Denver and then rented a car and pretty much have an open schedule. What part of the state has the best fly fishing this part of year? Any etymology tips are appreciated.
The South Platte at Deckers is good this time of year but is pretty technical and can be crowded especially on weekends. Check with the local fly shops for current flies that are producing. Think small sizes 18-22 in both dries and nymphs.
I would think the Eagle or Colorado near Glenwood would fish well for browns using streamer.
