What species of fish are in these lakes? I live here and know there are carp, but would there be walleyes by any chance?

Has anyone ice fished these lakes?

I use to run a Carp tourney up at Water Valley a few years ago. When talking to a few guys they also said the possibility that it held a few smallies and a walleye or 2. I know we had to jump through a few hoops to get us on the water there, but we sure did come out with a ton of Carp. I wish I would have been able to get my line in the water a little more rather than aving to run the tourney!

Those lakes are such a waste............hardly any of the people that live there actually fish................but for those that do.....fish are big and willing. I know that one of the lakes is now closed to all resedents too except those that own waterfront property on that lake. Cablela's has rights to it............they supply fish, a personal dock, and a very detailed map of the bottom..........all for purchasing a 1 million dollar lot on the waterfront. It's no wonder there are tons of foreclosed homes in Water Valley.............the lots are expensive and you still have to supply the home.

I live in WV. We have lots of fish cats, blue gill, perch, walleye, crappie. No ice fishing, CR only, private and they do check if your a WV resident. They do a few event's every year for a local kids bass club and a Fish and Chips event (fishing and golf). It's great in the afternoons to hang out for a few hour's. It is not free and its $$.

I have seen foreclosed home's in all subdivisions along the front range. Blame it on mortgage brokers, banks, and our employer's outsourcing good paying jobs!!

I PROUDLY live in the old part of Windsor!!!! The old timers here get such a chuckle how the WV people never mention that they are from Windsor, but have to say "were from Water Valley". Like they are ashamed of Windsor! If you want a good buddies club tell you what color to paint your house...but if you happen to be a buddy, then you can paint it ANY color!!! When it first got started WE residents weren't allowed to walk on their trails!!! Even though WE pay for some of the maintenance and Police protection!!! That is not a place to be when it floods around here. I hope there's NEVER a hundred year flood.

I have fished the lakes, great carp fly fishing!!!
