3 inch white tube w/ small peice sucker meat!!
Curly tails in white or chart tiped with sucker meat!!

Go pretty small as the lakers are smaller, and it will help you get a good hook set!

Good luck!

We were straight out off the north ramp in about 60fow on friday. While we were strictly targeting lakers, several times during the day we had big schools of what I have to assume were kokes show up just like the others have said about 35 feet or so off the bottom. Didn't have anything they would be interested in. Go get em.

I haven't caught one yet this season but your technique sounds good. If you find them you'll see many of them on the vex, usually at around 35 feet over deeper water. I've had best luck using small lures for kokes -- small Swedish Pimple or Rat Finkee tipped with a meal worm. A jigging machine helps a lot if you are targeting kokes. Lighter line too. Not the same gear you would use for laker fishing, but if you see them you could tie on some light leader and give it a go.

Green Mountain Tomorrow 2/16 - Please help!!

Hey all, craigknows2 and myself are taking our ladies up to GM tomorrowto try and show them how to do some laker fishing. I have fished lakers in that lake for a few years now and can usually find them pretty easy.

But I really would like to catch a few Kokes for the dinner table, but have always had a hard time finding them. I usually fish anywhere from 30-45 feet deep over deeper water looking for them, but get a feeling I am not using the right presentation or something. I jig and they do not bite, I leave it "deadstick" and they still don't bite. What am I doing wrong?

Any advice would be really appreciated as I would like my wife to catch both her first laker AND first Koke tomorrow. Thanks in advance to any replies.
