Oh, I know where all the quarries were, where extra rock was piled and where drainages were rock lined during construction. Unfortunately I didn't have a GPS with me at the time. Now the reservoir is something like 70% full, so it is all under water now.

I work for the Bureau of Reclamation as a design engineer. If anyone has questions about work going on at one of the BoR dams, I can usually dig up what is going on. May not necessarily be working on it, but I will know who is. I mainly work on fish system equipment, like fish screens, ladders and other transport.

Im willing to be theres a better chance that the outlet will be clogged with granola than the lake gets proper public usage. Its the focus on semantics and "offensive terms" and a lack of action on the part of anglers that will ultimately create another inaccessible or wasted body of water. Rather than whining at what I wrote for a title why not step up and make sure that you can get access to another piece of "should be" public water.

Sad part is that post and the comments section had been around a while for this lake, and someone that no longer lives there had to be the one to inform the fisherman on this site about it.

Have fun im done with it.

As usual, your open mind and intelligent approach gain support in your cause... Well played.

What am I missing? It seems as if Nighthorse lake will be open to fishing. From what I understand, the lake was originally going to be a state park. Due to budget cuts, the state park system pulled out rather than spend the 20 to 30 million dollars required for development.

When the parks pulled out, they gave a three million dollar grant to the project for the construction of a boat ramp...which some of the comments in the link suggest has already been built. With the giving of the grant came the guarantee that motorized boat traffic was to be allowed on the lake, although there is some question as to whether a size restriction on horsepower can, or cannot, be put in place.

Is that where it stands?
