Not sure why anyone would want to use another braid besides Power Pro? In my opinion, and I don't really like braid that much, it has everything in a line that you need....for the applications that braid excels at.

Haven't used it myself, (I'm a PP guy) but I do know a couple of guys that tried it and went back to PP. Said it wasn't as smooth as PP.

I haven't used excel or bps, but a couple years ago SW was out of Powerpro so I tried Tufline XP. I think it's a little better than powerpro and have been using it ever since.

Ive used powerpro and it's good..........

Havent used the BPS brand...........

On the rare occasion I use braid, I use Sufix.

So I'm partial to powerpro, but it looks like excel is pretty similar quality. Anybody ever try it, if so what do you think? Anybody ever compare it to powerpro?

Reviews look solid, but of course they're on BPS's site, so I'm sure they're screened...

I've used their bulk spools of mono for a year or two now and it's not bad. Not Flouro, but not bad...
