i got one of my best ice lakes on a lil isis gold from Xstream tackle. it bent and bent but got the fish in. i like making my own bc i break store boughts usually. the isis has held together well. ive got two of them.

while backbone is nice to have, I find I match the rod with the lure rather than the rod to the fish. There is definitely a market here for ice rods that no manufacture seems to want to tap in on.

i'll have to swing by and see what they have. i made a friend a vendetta based ice rod and he already got a 12pd carp on it. much better backbone than store ice rods, imo.

You should go talk to sportsmans and big box stores, they usually throw broken rods away instead of sending them back.

looking for vendetta or similar style rods broken tips broken rod. south springs if anyones got any broken taking up space.
