Hit my second lake at 10k this season, and found slimers just like last time. At least they were fat holdovers... Got about a half dozen on gold bouyants, but it looks like it had a small winterkill as there were some dead fish laying around.

It's still winter up there, lakes 300' higher were still locked up.

But they're prefect for attaching snelled hooks! Lol I hate them too. Normally I just use a split ring, but I was out, and it's better than tying straight to the eye of a spoon (especially with 4lb). Besides, mrt's are to dumb to know the difference!

There are a few other lakes in the area that I prefer fishing, and I can drive to most once some more snow melts!
