Launched at 5:30 am and headed to lazy boy area,I nabbed a 14" bo instantly on worm 7' under a bobber.Had a few hits on gold bouyant, bro missed couple on a silver cleo.Moved to near sucker cove and a few bites but nada.Headed to stoll mtn area and caught 3 pike at 10:30 on smoke/gray twister tails. Missed a few hits on same also.About 11 am the bugs started hatching and we threw flies/bubbles with no success.Switched to worm 7ft under a bobber and hammered the bos. Bro also caught a 17" cutty.Caught bobos on the bobber rig off and on till 1:30pm and left at 2pm.Total was 3 pike,24-28"s27 bos all 14-17.Most at 15".

Went back on Monday with hubby and son of wifes friend. The kid caught a 16" koke and 2 15" bos on a silver croc at 930-10am near stoll mtn.I was throwing a rainbow kasty and missed several hits and also broke off a nice bo about 20" when I set the hook, also missed a nice bo about 18" on the worm/bobber rig. The wind got pretty tough at 11am or so and I motored behind some little islands and I popped a 16" and 17" bo on a rainbo kasty. No more hits in the next hour or so so tried coyote ridge area and skunked out, then I decided to anchor in the bay to south of boat ramp and we got 6 bos on worm/bobber. On both days there was uncrowded conditions which was both unexpected and excellent.I love that place!

Awesome Slayer. You can take me fishing anytime. My wife's parents have a cabin in the village and I have tried to figure the fish out for years with no luck. The mister twisters that you used, did you just throw then out and bounce them on the bottom back to the boat?

MM-we used a lift and drop retrieve, close to the bottom but not on it cause there were weeds down there. They all hit it on the drop-in fact saw 2 of the hits cause the water was glass calm and clear as gin. KK-I know nothing of stagecoach,The pike at 11-mile were in 12-14 ft of water, you could see the bottom. There were some weed towers around also. I really dont fish for pike but I always seem to catch 'em!

11-mile is pretty tough from the shore unless its right at ice-out or at night. My favorite shore fishing place is the bluffs between sucker cove and cross creek. It looks like you are using all the right stuff!Good Luck!

I try there next time I go up to the mile and post the results (hopefully with some good pic's).
What time of day is best for those spots?
I agree, I slayed them this spring from the shore. Caught several 18"+ and a few 20"+.
I like early morning and Late afternoon.
Look for spots where is drops off quickly from the shore and don't be afraid to fish in close.

As always nice report! Looking for a place to fish this weekend and the reports coming in from Elevenmile look great; Granby is looking good as well.

Gotta wet a line; I'm going stir crazy...
