11 mile - Don’t leave your spud bar at home!

I went up to 11 mile earlier in the week with friends. The ice was a little shaky like everyone has been talking about. I had to use my spud bar in several places. We picked a day with only a little wind. We fished sucker cove area. It didn’t seem to matter what kind of jig you were using…they all seemed to work. Orange, pink, chartreuse, and white were probably the best colors. We did have some luck tipping the jigs with Berkley Gulp Waxies. Also your typical wax worms and sucker meat. This has been an interesting year. Still have first ice coming in the middle of the lake….maybe in a week or two. Looking forward to that. Here are some pictures of our fishing adventure.

Double smoked with Hickory! A bagel, cream cheese, and smoked trout…nothing better!
