Right, ice is about 20". Fished today at marina, lousy with small stocker rainbows. Moved to Witchers and fished from 2PM till 4PM there, no bites.
Weather was great, 47degrees but wind kicked up about noon.

Caught stockers on waxies and ratfinkie jig

Hey, I saw you there right at daybreak at the Marina drilling holes. Pre-fishing for the tourney? ;) I drove on over to the west side and caught -- nothing. :( Ice was good though.

ice update: ice is 4 inches thinner than last week and melting quick. Shorelines are getting water on top of the ice and large areas are opening up on the west end and down the south shoreline. I had to walk through 4 inches of water on top of the ice yesterday to get to shore.

I would avoid the areas that froze last during ice on. Sucker cove, channel by deer island out from witcher's and goose island to rocky flats are the areas that froze last and had the thinner ice.

Lots of open water today and expanding quickly. Open water from Suckers to East of Goose.

Several areas open for shore fishing.
