Had a stellar weekend at 11 Mile. Went to our usual spot and caught a total of 10 fish for the weekend but the best catch was a 24" rainbow my husband caught. See link in post for pic. Was a fun weekend for sure! Went today (11/26) and was capped over with a thin sheet of ice. Hiked into a cove where there was a little open water, caught one 17" cutbow. Open water as we know it is about over for the year! Will be time to get out the short poles real soon!!

Hey Slayerfish! We usually go ice fishing on the southwest side. Went back out today hoping for a little open water but was entirely iced over today. Saw a couple of guys out at Witcher's cove on the ice. It couldn't have been very thick as where they were was open water yesterday. Made us feel afraid for them. Will probably be at least 2-4 weeks before we feel comfortable going out on the ice ourselves but could be fun meeting up sometime. Where do you usually go ice fishing?
