SKUNK! (As usual, I can't buy a fish at the Mile.)

Fished around at Sucker Cove for about 3 hours, then moved down to Witchers cove for less than an hour.

NOOOO bites in either place. Marked fish on the vex but no takers. Tried several lure/bait combinations.

Didn't see much action around me either. But I was busy praying to the fish gods for a bite to pay much attention to anyone else.

Anyone else hear reports from 11-mile??

Sorry to hear you got the skunk today. It is not my fault. Everybody knows I am a wonderful person. Blame the skunk on Z. But then again I notice Talo362 always inciting Zman and me. I wonder perhaps Tal is responsible for the skunk up at 11 mile.

Me and Slayer hit 11 mile saturday and hammered them. We iced I think 12 and lost 4 or 5 and missed 15 or so hits. great day. Monday he should post some pics. Also Lunker Laker and friend where there and getting some hits and had a couple of fish. They stayed later so maybe the picked up some more towards evening.

Ya Know...Dan and Zman gave me some advice and said the Walleye fishing in 11-mile is GREAT! So that's what I went after.

Seriously, Great Job! I know the fish are in there, I see and hear about other folks getting them....but not me. I'm stubborn though, Some day it will be my day. (right?) I just wish it wasn't a 2 hour drive to get the skunk. (I did redeem myself just a bit by catching some stockers at Tarryall.)

I was mostly after the bos. I used several different colors of 1 or 1.5 inch tube jigs tipped with either meal worm or waxie. At one point the vex showed what I can only imagine was a school of kokes. Continuous flashes at different depths that continued for 30 seconds or so. When this happened I dropped a pink tube jig down there, nada. I also tried silver/blue, perch, gold kastys and some marabou style jigs. Oh yeah, a plain ole nightcrawler too. I think Slayer always says that an silver/orange kasty is the ticket, of course I don't have any of those...yet.

I'll get schooled next weekend if I can make it to the get-together.
