Hey does anyone have a good source for these batteries. Other than batteries plus ect. I had a contact that could get batteries like crazy for free but he moved out of state so now i am looking to see if anyone else may know where we can get these.

Thanks!

Hey Fish thanks man. I think a couple of years back I got a few of them from ya. I still have one that runs pretty good. I'll be going through loveland both saturday and sunday on my way to hunters ed in ft collins. I could stop by saturday afternoon after class if your available. I have a few toys that could use them. Here's my number 720-366-8517

I've got one good one...one bad one...bad one I bought just last year and the good one four or five years ago. I need to get a different charger. I hate the charger that comes with the battery at Cabelas. No indicator light at all...just have to guess how long to charge them.

I just use a regular SEARS battery charger set at 2 amp; maintenance free setting..... Green lite comes on when charged and shuts the charger down..
I had one of those CABELA chargers.... They SUCK....

I'm trying to find the same batteries in a 'lithium ion" version...
Anyone see these anywhere?

Looked for em 2 years ago and They were VERY hard to find in a similar size that the Cabela's version comes in...
I see quite a few on E-Bay now..
Got a new 24 volt Li. Ion power head for My ice Gator and all I can say is WOW!! Lightened the unit by 12 lbs and They hold a charge forever...
I'd like to get ONE for My portable HDS 5..... It'd save Me about 5.75 lbs of battery weight...

All the stuff I've seen for those SLA batteries say to charge at 1amp. 2 is double what is rrecommended. Being they're, sealed, you don't want a lot of boiling/pressure build up going on. IMHO.
Done it for 5 years now....
NO problems whatsoever....
The original CABELA'S 'plug in" charger I had fried itself one day...
So... I experimented w My Sears Charger...
Done deal. Works great.

My original cabelas charger fried also...melted right through the wires. I've read where they have an over heating problem and how you shouldn't leave them unattended. Kinda stupid...Who's going to be around 24 hours straight while they charge a battery?

Just conveying what the battery manufactures and charging experts state. Doesn't bother me one bit what you do with YOUR batteries on YOUR OWN TIME. ::)
