If you are talking about the ponds just across the road from the Kingfisher area I have fishe them several times. There are perch, bass, catfish, bluegill, crappie and trout in there. I have never done very well there either I usually take my canoe there and work the edges of the cattails and the west side of the ponds. seems a bit better there and it gets less pressure cause people are lazy and won't walk around.

If you stay on Wadsworth going south past the main entrance to the park there is another parking area on the left just before you get to Waterton canyon. There are a couple of other ponds there, I have never fished them but have been told they contain bass and bluegill. Alot of people don't realize they are there and don't hit them.
