I fished with DanDANthefisherman yesterday. He got 8th place on the Mac category. Dan caught about 20 for the day and I caught 8. We did fish on Thursday with only a couple of fish being iced, so Dan set us up with a different location on Friday and found the hole. There were others around us catching as well.

Hitting the same spot this morning and we will be on the ice by 6 am.

Good luck to you guys.

Good report. We were there today too, at Granby, with a couple thousand of our closest friends. ;D Great day for fishing, not so good on catching. About 9 between 3 of us, somewhere off sunset pt. Great day, ..cold in morning, sunburn in afternoon. Lots of snowmobiles and ATV's on ice, with no slush. Ice, 'bout 10 inches where we were. Tough day for fish, but we were happy.

We had a great time out there this weekend! Fished Granby on Sat morning till about noon. We did ok, but not great. 4 landed but the biggest 18". Once it died we decided to run up to Grand looking for Bows. We got on the lake and with the 1st pull of the auger broke the spring on the on the pull string. Big bummer. Not much we could do to fix it. We met a couple guys on Grand who let us drill a few holes, Thanks John and Tony if you are on here! So we were kinda stuck at Grand w/out the auger! That's where we fished today. just a couple hits, not much to talk about. Oh well it was fun. The tourny started out good but ended tough for us. The Macs that we did get hit the normal stuff. Very cold mornings nice sunny days. I did lose my gas can. Like a dumb ass, I drove off with it under the trailer. If anyone found it if ya could let me know. Hope everyone had a fun time. Can't wait to here the results!

All the winning Macs were 22'' and under. The heavy Mac was 3.70 LBS on Saturday. The bows were around 3 LBS and under.

The winning Grand Slam on Sunday was 5+ LBS with a 3'', Yes 3 inch salmon. The winner had it in a baggie and showed it to the crowd to great applause. I think the winning browns were under 4 LBS. I know Dan and I didn't win on the raffle. The unofficial count for the raffle was about 1200 entries and about 1000 entries for the derby.

Dan and I had a great time at Shadow Mountain Res. yesterday. Early in the morning as we were jockeying for a fishing spot, driving on the ice close to the bank, we broke thru the ice with the Argo pulling the sled. I was screaming WOO WOOO WWWWWOOOOOOOO! Dan kept the Argo full speed ahead and climbed out of the water back onto the ice with no problem. CUDOS to the Argo and the balls of Dan.

Can't wait for next year, and can't wait for Dan to come to Montana to fish one of our derbies.

Nice job guys. Congrats on catching a money fish Dan. My friend got 7th place on Saturday with a 21 7/8 inch fish that weighed in at 3.30 pounds. We fished in Arapaho Bay around Inspiration Point and caught lots of fish. We had several 24 to 26 inch fish and a couple 23 inchers. Our fish under 22 inches were usually between 20 1/2 and 21 1/4. We decided we wouldn't keep any to weigh in unless they were 21 1/2 or longer. We had a couple of chunky fish that might have pushed 3 pounds but we released them.
One of my friends drilled some holes in 10 fow and he caught quite a few chucky rainbows up to 15 inches. He didn't keep any to weigh in though.
