Fished Boyd yesterday from about 1100 - 700 PM.

Dodged storms all day, fishing was pretty slow. Two of us caught about 8 rainbows and one bluegill. Water temp is 56*.

ANS inspectors had left before we got off the water. What are their hours supposed to be?

I think they leave at 7PM until May, I can never catch them this time of year. Really annoying to get an inspection on your way into the water, I'm always ready to get fishing. Looks like you did alright for yourself though! Sounds like the water is warming up.

Those filets look pretty dark - do you bleed your fish?

If you have the seal and the receipt, you can leave them in the box by the ramp and sign in the book they have there.

March 2015:

Mon-Thurs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and

Fri-Sun 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

April 2015

Daily 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

May 1 to September 30, 2015:

Daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

October and November 2015:

Daily 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please help us protect our waters from these destructive creatures. Take time to read park and boating regulations posted at the boat ramp and help to promote safe boating. The ANS Inspection station is located at the main boat ramp. Outside of inspection hours, boats are required to have valid pre-inspection documentation (seal and receipt) prior to launch.

This is for any lake that has the box near the ramp, check the regs.

I leave the fish in the live well until I clean them. Fileted them in the parking lot before we left the lake.
