me and my cousin(irishman) fished all over above ft. collins.  The poudre,  seamen res.,  and some red feather lakes.  Left the house at 5 in the morning and didnt get home until 8 in the evening.  We caught fish everywhere we went using thomas boyants,  worms,  and rapala type lures.  here area  few pictures.

caught my perch bait!!!

I really like this picture.  Thinkin about blowing it up.

the poudre.

Cold weather won't keep me and Irishman from our fishin' holes.

All in all great day lots of perch,  rainbows,  and a few browns.  MY biggest of the day was a 20inch brown and my cousin who is getting ready to post his pics caught a 21 inch rainbow.

Re: Above ft. collins sunday

it was pretty funny to hear some lady giving a hiking tour talk about the fish in seamen res. After she got done telling a group of around 10 people how their wasn't any trout in the lake only walleye and bass. Me and my cousin must have landed 8 trout right in front of the speechless crowd. Sad thing is I don't think any of them knew the difference between a trout or a bass.

I wish I would have hooked into a hog or two. With the forage base there I wouldn't be suprised if some really big fish are swimming around in that lake.

No doubt!!! This is one of those times of the year when the water is cool enough that the pigs should be coming shallow to "graze" on perch. I've been keeping close watch, but I haven't seen any cruising yet. I still have to try a perch colored rapala though....

I'm out the door before the sun is thinking of coming up, and I don't stop fishin' until the sun is back down.

My alarm usually goes off at 3 am. Sometimes at 2 am if I gotta drive a long way. Then I'll get home at 10 pm. Boy that pisses off my wife sometimes. I'm gonna try and hit Seaman this saturday(19th).

FG: You guys probably saw me and my wife and didn't know it. We went up to Seaman, too. I thought I saw. We had lotso luck, also. My wife won't let me bring the camera for fear of losing it in the drink.

BH: I tried two or three different perch pattern rapalas there early last week with no success. The trout I have caught there of late have nearly all be in the shallows or right where the dept breaks are (from shallows to deep water). Lots of 0 and 1 year old perch on the shallow shelves, and the bigger cannibalistic perch hanging out in the shallows nearby (perch are delicious). Might have to go several times and fish rapalas all day to get one of the REAL hogs.

I was there too,and I had good luck as well, landed a 16-18"Brown within the first five minutes on a "Bang Tail" (looks like a Roostertail)Firetiger 1/4.oz. And I think we exchanged a few words with F.G. and Irishman,I was on the west side by the grassland, around 10:00a.m.-11:30.
And I think I'm going back there on Sat.or Sun.of this week.
