This was back earlier in May. It was like either the 11th or the 18th.. I dunno. All I remember is that it was a Wednesday. B-T-W, we did fish at the inlet with not a thing. Mostly, we were just bored and fartin around. That's why I didn't post nothing about that trip.... Or did I?? Hmmm.... Bad short term memory, Sorry.

Came across this pair snakes. It kinda looked like they were eating eachother. But later, one of my "wildlife-know-it-all" buddies confirmed that they were probably just mating when I told him about it. Thought it was kind of a cool experience so I wanted to share.

This is my buddy. We call him "The Wall". His reall name is Houa, but if you
say it fast it sounds like wall. We watched closely, but didn't touch.... We
were sh*ttin' bricks already when I almost stepped on them while not paying
attention.

Another pic. You kinda have to examine the picture carefully to see the snake with it's mouth on the other.

So umm..... Are these bull snakes? Stretched out, these two would have easily been 3 1/2 to 4 ft long. Told my lady's mom about it and she was like "YOOH LAHKY. YOOH GO BUY LOTTO AND VEDY VEDY LAHKY! GO TO CENTRAL CITY WID MEEH!!"

I guess seeing stuff like this is a foreshadowing of a good gambling victory..... That has yet to come.

I was on Stanley Lake this last Saturday an after being on it for 4 hours and not getting a single bit, I headed to the north shore. I was trolling in front of the boat rental area heading towards the boat ramp to leave. I seen something in the water ahead of me it was coming towards me. It was a big long snake. I turned slightly to the right and it turned. I was trolling very slowly and my reactions were very slow. That thing got right next to my boat coiled up and tried jumping in my boat. I deflected it's jump with my net and it kept trying. I put my minn kota in high speed and high tailed it to the ramp. I have seen snakes in water before but I have never had one try to join me in my boat. I do hope this is a sign that I am going to be "VEDY VEDY LAHKY".

I have been with my grandad in mississippi adn have had snakes climb in the baot. my grandad would nail them with the paddle to knock them out. we took fishing line and tied their mouth shut and threw them into the water. not very kind but it wasn't too kind to get into the boat uninvited. my uncle once shot a hole in teh bottom of his boat when a snake crawled in. :D ??? what was he thinking? i dont personally like to have snakes ridign with me. i would have tried to hit him with the trolling motor. i have heard that stink bait and cheese attract snakes. anyone else heard this?

I saw no luck trying to get rid of that snake. You should have seen him jumping around the boat. He first tried to get rid of it by using the net-I think that was helping the snake trying to get in the boat. Then he was slapping it with an oar. Good entertainment for the day!
