I was on Stanley Lake this last Saturday an after being on it for 4 hours and not getting a single bit, I headed to the north shore. I was trolling in front of the boat rental area heading towards the boat ramp to leave. I seen something in the water ahead of me it was coming towards me. It was a big long snake. I turned slightly to the right and it turned. I was trolling very slowly and my reactions were very slow. That thing got right next to my boat coiled up and tried jumping in my boat. I deflected it's jump with my net and it kept trying. I put my minn kota in high speed and high tailed it to the ramp. I have seen snakes in water before but I have never had one try to join me in my boat. I do hope this is a sign that I am going to be "VEDY VEDY LAHKY".
