Eleven Mile water clarity is pretty poor right now. Spinney is a bit better it seems but also has it. I'm not sure how it affects the fishing but does not seem ideal.

I fished a rez in the hills last weekend for 4 days and it had serious algae bloom. I had seen it there before but never even close to this bad. Fishing was decent but we had to catch them way different than we are used to for this time of year. The next day, my bud who flies private sent me these photos...

Unless you are on the water, it is really hard to explain the significance, but if you can figure out how far down in the water column the bloom reaches, then you have your first piece of the puzzle.

Is an algae bloom or just the lakes turning over?

I flew into Minnesota the 1st week in June and was amazed at the algae in the lakes around Minneapolis. My bother said that they had an early thaw and then a bunch of hot weather. Weird.....?????????
