Right on Dave, good job!!! Were you using circle hooks or our Kahle 141 hooks?
Just the regular snelled hooks off the rack. I never use circle hooks. If you can't set the hook, you may as well be trolling.:biggrin1:Right on Dave, good job!!! Were you using circle hooks or our Kahle 141 hooks?
Thanks. I love catching cats. Before I ever got a boat..and now my toon, I spent a lot of time cat fishing from shore.. Just a cool predator..and they taste good too.You really got those cats dialed in!!
and Eagle Claw hooks!!! :biggrin1:Beautiful cats Hobie. Very clean looking. And I agree... There is something magical about night fishing.
Thanks Owen. My suggestion to you. If you aren't getting bit regularly..find another lake. If they're around in the lake you're fishing, they'll find your bait. And when casting this time of year..hit that same spot over and over. No sense making them swim around from spot to spot looking for your bait. If you're in a spot with a significant number of cats, the scent will bring them to you. Now in the spring, that's a different story. I move a lot that time of year.Beautiful cats Hobie. Very clean looking. And I agree... There is something magical about night fishing.
Really, I'm being serious here. It's the hooks..(Psst..Tony, how long until those free samples come in the mail?)and Eagle Claw hooks!!! :biggrin1:
