Does anyone know if you connect to WIFI, does that still count against your data usage ?? I have a ton of stuff I am trying to transfer and download and I just got a txt from verizon saying I was approaching my data limit ;D I just got the phone yesterday and I am gonna burn it up before the weekend.

No, it doesn't count as data usage. Access to data over the cellular network is what you would be getting charged for. You already pay for WiFi access to the net separately through your ISP.

The wifi is free, I have my choice from 10 or so neighbors that don't know how to properly secure a wifi network, or to change the default SSID or password of their routers.

How do I disconnect from the cell network and make sure I am connected to wifi only ??

Settings, turn off cell radio, but if wifi is on, it will default to that not 3G data. How much data do you get with them? Sprint, at a minimum is 5gb, but most have unlimtied.

I think I am only on a 5 gig plan, but with all the apps and trying to transfer stuff from the old phone, plus we have our entire inventory system in an app and that was kind of big

you may have to up your data to an unlimited plan...verizon has a commercial unlimited data plan as well as a regular unlimited data plan, i think the commercial is like $45 bucks a month, the regular was $25 bucks a month...they had my original droid on the commercial for some reason for the last year and when i just got my incredible a couple of weeks ago i was joking with the sales lady about making my plan cheaper and she downgraded me to the regular unlimited data, she didnt know why i was on the commercial as i dont use my phone for any crap like that...i just use it for internet surfing, porn, golf apps,etc.... ;D

Verizon still has an unlimited consumer data plan at 29.99/mo.

The corporate plan ($45.00/mo) is only if you need full exchange server support (you either need it or you don't, that's all you get for 15 more a month with it).

You are probably on the stupid 150mb plan for $15.00/mo.

AT&T were the jokers that killed their unlimited plan.
