Pueblo has been a lot of fun this year..I've been having a blast. Great day out...water temps started at 67 and hit 70 by the end of the day. The fish are really fat this year..big bellies. Ended up catching 40 or so walleyes with seven over eighteen..one at twenty and another just shy of twenty two. Got another twenty or so small mouths with a couple over fifteen..husky fish..Also a couple of large mouths..Great day to be out..

Good job man your on fire. I only managed six or seven short walleye and a couple smallies. But i did catch my second walleye this year on a zara spook. Im thinking theres a lesson to be learned from that😕

Thanks guys...

On a spook...That's cool. They were definitely more scattered this week than last. On the move again. Last week you could fish a spot a hundred feet by a hundred all day long..fish were stacked up..This week a lot more singles spread out over a much larger area.

Love it when the fishin's good. Did color or size of lure seem to make much difference? I always fly fish for those critters and mostly use meat whistles and buggers. For me, white and/or chartreuse seem to work best. Haven't really found the walleye there yet this year and my excuse is the water height and the fact that I am belly boat bound. I see the CL number on your toon...assuming you have a motor and can cover a pretty good territory.

There seems to be a lot more eye's suspended 8-12 feet down right now? Shad haven't hatched yet? I was thinking I might be that that lake has so much debri and sediment from the high water, that maybe the baitfish are staying up high right now? Trolling Flicker shads has been working the last month for several people. I know of a couple of wiper that have been caught recently also! Looking forward to hitting it tomorrow to see what's up?

Get there early..Jeff was down there with his dad last Sunday...Said it was an hour to get on to the lake and an hour to get off...boats were backed up past the pay shack on the South Shore..no place to park a trailer.

What kind of flotation device are you using?
A Hobiecat Float Cat 75..I don't use a fishing buddy anymore..I use an Elite 4x. Also got rid of the gas motor...thinking of getting another for the wind at Spinney..

Always remember to clean your toon..Last thing you want is to go around spreading Zebra Mussels.

And like they say...Be wary of unwanted hitchhikers..
