Went to G-pass late at 7am. Got to SD lake Akuarium Korner and saw a couple but skunked it up. Headed up to M-lake and saw a couple but again skunked it up. Both lakes just ice out, maybe a week. I heard the thunder/lightning that got those peeps on Bierstadt about 1115 am or so . I was on my way down .. Millions of freeking people on Guanella this day-

Boon- I dont wish this kind of torment on my enemys!

Hey I was there today too, just out for some exercise as well, I guess.

But I was up above, lookin down on ya. See if you can find yourself.

I got nothin but worthless info too. Well, except that the lakes on the other side of the hill are still sterile from whirling disease poisoning. They aren't gonna stock em till next year. Buncha empty gill nets sittin in there. I guess I can't read too good, cause I noticed a sign saying as much in the parking lot on my way out. ::) I knew they had been poisoned but I thought it was a few years ago and wanted to check it out.

edit: btw, this pic above was taken at 10:00am. The blue sky turned to real real bad clouds directly overhead in a span of about 10 minutes, I've never seen anything like it. I got out of there quick. There were people on their way up, despite the weather developing... smh.

The amount of people and cars up there was sickening. Overflowing the lots by a very large margin and lined up down the street. Good thing I was early.

Nice pics. Was there about this time last year and got chased off by lightning and thunder snow. Scary ****. Never have liked lightning and after hearing that Batman got struck by lightning on Wednesday...like it even less.
