Anyone have word on how spinney is fisning?

Heading up there mid-week to hunt some from the bellyboat and was hoping for some good news. Usually fishes well in May but have not seen any recent posts.

No word to this point on recent experience, but no news can be good news. Post will follow Wednesday night on how it went and give a report on the flow between Spinney and E-Mile

I was up there saturday and got blown off the lake, I got there at 8:30am and the wind was already getting bad. I managed a few Rainbows 14" - 17" on tubes and kastmasters. I walked from the boatramp to the dam and back. On the way back there were whitecaps and I could'nt even fish. There was a guy at the boat ramp trying to give away Pike. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the info - I was worried about the wind coming up early. Really no where else to go in that area this time of year of the weather does not cooperate - hopefully some flow (and bows) in the river section.

Much appreciated

On the way home we drove across the dam and hit the dream stream, I missed a monster Brown at the row of rocks right below the dam. I missed him on a tube, so I threw on a rapala, hooked him, he jumped and spit the hook. He was a big ol hook jaw. Maybe he is still there!!!

I know those rocks - float it to the bend, landed a 3 to 4 pound female brownie there in Oct 2004 - perch F5.

I'll tell him Firedawg said hello.
