Anybody catching any bass yet? And if so, what are you using? I've caught largemouth (no smallies yet) on senkos, tubes and on a sus. jerk. I'm catching them more in the afternoon after the water has warmed up a little. On smaller, shallower water (ponds really). Curious what others are getting them on. All the bass I've caught are in real good shape-fat. Which proves to me they eat all winter. Ed

At the far south edge of Chatfield State park just before you head up Waterton Canyon there are several ponds. ipm wondering if that might be a good place for bluegill and bass. Does anyone every fish them? Any insight into the quality of the fishing there?

I caught a pretty nice Bass at Quincy last weekend. Ill be out there again tomorrow trying for them. This time of year I like to use a Carolina Rigged Craw pulled very slowly.

We'll see. Ill post a report tomorrow if there is anything to report.

Last year this time of year I did pretty well at purdy mesa near grand junction, colorado. They were small, and I caught them on senkos mostly. Last fall however, the bass were bigger than usual, so I know there are some nice ones in there!
