I have fished Strontia 4 times about 2 years ago.Its a 8-9 mile bike ride up waterton canyon and up the colorado trail, then a bike/hike to an inlet. The first time was around the 10th of november, and I caught 25 NICE perch. All on a 1.5" twister/worm.I had planned on catchin maybe some spawning browns, but I also caught 5 bobo's to 15"es on metal and 3 splake on same.No browns, although I caught a few small(12") ones on a later trip.O n later trips I havent caught much else but a few perch and bo's.

The first 6 miles are cake. The next mile or so is steep, low gear mt. bike stuff.I cheated and just walked my bike up it.Then its downhill all the way to the Bear creek inlet. The shoreline is real steep and nasty, tough place to walk.

I didn't know that. Its not in the DOW regs.
I've fished it before and caught lots of nice rainbows and browns and a few perch and actually a couple walleye.
Hey,JOEHOBO-you are the first person I've met who's fished strontia.Do you go up waterton canyon or come down from south platte? I have ice fished it once, didnt do real well, but it was a ***** hand-augering through 21" of ice.I was alone so it was kind of scary!
