I know Wolford is open and filling with muddy upper end.(DOW-last week)
Has anyone fished it and are any big browns hitting?

I fished it last week from a boat first, caught some little bows(10-12")trolling taz devils and krocs. Then went and fished from shore by the dam and caught a bunch of 10-14" bows.Did better from shore than trolling.Wolford has been up and down for me the last couple of years.Should get better as the water warms and clears, hopefully.

I've only fished it on the ice but that was when the water level was really low. I've done really well around the dam.

Thanks guys for the info, I'm from Delta and debating whether to go west to Strawberry in Utah for cutthroats in early June or Wolford for browns. About the same distance for me. Or Flaming Gorge Macs? Decisions, decisions.

I'll trade Wolford for the Grand Mesa any time!I think your catch rate at Wolford would be 30 bows to 1 brown, from my experience.
