Okay, this is one small cove in a local lake. I looked on google earth and went back to when the water was down real low... I found this cove, and saw that there's a deep channel going from the main cove into this lagoon(ish) area. Would this be a good place to start hunting cats in public waters around here?

How it looks now:

Might be a good place to start?

Looks like an old roadbed and bridge. I'd say that's a good spot to target any species!

You know, I hadn't thought about that, but that's exactly what it looks like... I might just have to give it a shot tomorrow night...

Good stuff... I'll be trying it out one night this week, I think... Given that I can get off work early one night.

Looks like if I could even hit the slope on the front or back side I'd be doing well... Still bank fishing and the little walking trail around that side of the cove is a bit precarious. Its there, just no clear, flat area to set up and heave for the channel.
