Arkansas River - 4/21

Went to the Arkansas on Friday, April 21. The caddis are hatching from Canon City up to Texas Creek. Saw some adults hatching around noon and throughout the afternnon. The fish were not keying on the adults very much until late in the day. Had very little action during the late morning and early afternoon on larvae and pupa. However, did have some luck from 4:30-8 p.m. on the egg layer and spent caddis. Caught six all late in the day between Five Points and Pinnacle Rock areas. Temperature was in the 70s, but, of course, the wind blew down the canyon all day.
