I was reading in my handbook that if you operate your gas auger at high altitude the exhaust and exhaust ports need to be cleaned out after 100 hours of use. Does anyone do this?
Carbon is usually a factor of type of oil burned. With a good quality 2-stroke oil carbon is not an issue.I've been using my strikemaster since 1991 and zero carbon.
I think if you run it at full throttle most of the time the exhaust will blow itself out. As long as the engine isnt burning rich the exhuast should not clog up.
