On Saturday I fished Aurora Reservoir for Walleye and Trout, and ended up with one Trout. The wind was blowing steady all evening, and unfortunately I forgot my anchor at home. So I spent as much time positioning my kayak, as I did fishing.
I started fishing from my kayak at 4pm. I was using two rods. On one I had a Glass Shad and on the other a jig and grub. I was trolling the Glass Shad against the wind and jigging with the wind. At 6pm I made my way to Senac Cove where I replaced the Glass Shad with a Kastmaster. I caught a small trout on my first cast with the Kastmaster. Unfortunately that was my only fish of the evening. I was off the lake by 7:30pm.
