Headed to aurora around 1:30pm. As I approached the check in, the patrol boat was leaving the lake! (I assume it needed gas) I spoke with the boat check in guy and he said that I had lost my mind wanting to go out in all of that wind. My response was that "I just wanted to get my boat wet." Little did I know that I would be getting sprayed by a windsurfer minutes later! I hadnt even put my jacket on yet. So, being cold and wet right off the bat didnt help matters. I preceded to troll out with my new downriggers dragging small rapalas. The wind definitely played havoc on things. After an hour of battling the wind, i decided to call it a day. Zero fish, learned lots. Is it me or are the boat ramps really filled in with sand this year?

Launched the trusty float tube from the scuba beach about 0730 Saturday. Water temp was 39 degrees. Water touching the grass. Got broken off once for the action of the day. Left with cold toes at 1030.
