The wipers are still there cruising and I still can't catch them  Did mange four decent smallies though. The best one was 17" and weighed about 2 1/2 lbs. The damn Wipers were chasing the bass trying to take the tube from him? But yet they would totally ignore the same bait otherwise.

Oh yeah! Nick it was nice to meet you!

17" smallie.. NICE!!

So the wipers are still running back and forth?! I think I'm gonna have to go out and try for some love....... From what I understand of your report, it looks like they're picky eh? I might have some tricks up my sleeve, but I dunno... We'll find out if they work.

There wasn't the hords of big wipers, as there was last Monday when I witnessed the three hour feeding spree on Shiners, but there was still alot of big one's cruising thru. They won't even look at lures?

Aurora has some amazing smallmouth! I wouldn't be surprized to see the record fall this summer? I saw one about 3-4 lbs go out on a stringer  And I saw a couple of biiger fish swim thru ::)

I was walking the North and NW corner of the dam. They seem to cruise the dam into the cup where the north wall meets the west and then turn around. Pretty disappointing for me so far :( I guess I need to switch to slip bobbers and live bait?

Good to hear that you landed something. The best I did today was caught myself. That was the hardest bite for wiper I have ever seen. Its just time to look in the box for old tricks that I don't remember, and try a new part of the box.

At least 60 I would guess? I know this time there were alot more bass and less trout in the shallows than last week.

Hey Nick, I didn't get a strike till about noon. I moved about 70 yards west from where we were into the cup and that was where I caught all my fish swimming grubs and tubes. White was the color on a Roadrunner head.
