I've lived all my life here in Colorado and haven't even got the chance or the initiative to get off my rear end and go check out Aurora Reservoir. Always talked about going, but never even looked yet.

Until I get my belly boat, I'll be limited to shore fishing. Can somebody please help me with an idea of good shoreline fishing spots at Aurora Res? That's if there is any because I was once told that Aurora Res is surrounded by quite a bit of private property.

The whole area is a city park. The whole resevoir is surrounded by a bike path. If you are willing to put in some walking, there is pretty good fishing in the Southern coves. It is 800 acres, so there is plenty of room and shoreline to explore.

It has Trout, Smallies, Walleye's, Perch. Wiper and Largemouths.

8) Thanks NEAL! That just made my day!! Yeah, I pondered for a bit about the private property surrounding the lake and realized that I may be confusing Aurora Res with Quincy. Anyhow, once again, thanks! Good luck out there!

I'm usually the guy for reports on Aurora but I haven't been there in about 2 weeks and haven't heard anything either. I'm assuming it's mostly open water with the warm weather we've had. Neal, did you go check it out the other day?
