fished aurora this sat and sun fishing was fair on sat ended up with a couple of nice trout. today fishing was slow I only got one trout all day missed a few other bites I just couldn't get a good hook set.[ftp]

It was a fat 17'' I caught it on a green tube jig. Ice was 5'' and getting soft on top but it is still solid.

Nice fish, mustang, you and I are in the same boat. One of my goals this year was to ice Aurora for perch. When it's been cold, I have been too busy. Maybe next time?

How thick was the ice there on Sun? If it holds I would like to fish it Mon. morning after work.

I was on Aurora today. We fished some in Marina Bay then headed to Senac Cove. I consistently measured 6 - 8 inches. However, it really warmed up and the and the ice was getting slushy on top. The challenge in a couple of days may be getting to the ice as it melts away from the shoreline.
