Kind of a B R O A D question but I'm going to assuming ice fishing.

sucker meat -> Lake trout (Mackanaws sp?)
meal worm -> Rainbows and other trouts
salmon eggs -> variety of trout

Would rosey reds from the pet store qualify as sucker meat?

rosy reds are fathead minnows

suckers are suckers and they can grow up to 18" in length!!

Sounds good I'm planning on going up to green mountain thursday. and it sounds like the fishing doesn't suck with suckers up there. O0

I like shiners as well as sucker meat for Lakers, wax worms or maggots are my favorite for everything else. Pieces of night crawlers also work great.

Jax, on college has them, also the bait shop off of prospect and college has them too. bennetts, in Berthoud has minnows also.

What jig do you guys recommend for lakers?

2.5 to 4 inch tube. White, pearl, or Chartruse. We use about an inch strip of sucker meat.

What jig do you guys recommend for lakers?

White or glow tubes in the dark are my favorites... If tipping it with a shiner I hook it right threw the eyes, if sucker meat I make sure the sucker meat isnt longer then the tenticles of the tube and no wider.
