Never fished them, only duck hunted (about 10 years ago now). They were a muddy bottom mess back then with little structure other than edge weeds/grass.
I know it is a ways further, but some of the Brush Prairie ponds looked good for bass (and they were better for ducks too)
Thanks for that info! CPW fishing atlas shows its stocked with warm water so I’m assuming that includes LM. Shows them on the species list too. My worry was exactly your description just open ponds in a field basically.
They can be decent for numbers of smaller fish, only problem is the weeds and moss get really bad there during the summer and can cover the entire lake. It does make for some fun top water
