I just saw on the state parks website that the boat ramp at Barr Lake opened yesterday, February 15th. I will definitely be out there pretty soon, the fishing can get really good when the water temp reaches 50 degrees.
This is one I havent made it too Don...what do you usually catch out there?...how big is it?...any particular side or area?...is wind a problem like it can be at Aurora?
There are marshes along the southwest side of the lake that are good for bass when the weather is warmer.
The lake is stocked with channel catfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, rainbow trout, walleye, bluegill, wiper and tiger muskie. So you can fish for just about whatever you want.
