I started fishing Barr last year for cats. i like it, its good if you hit the right spots and are patient. i havnt caught huge numbers of cats there, but the ones you get can be good. let me know if you wanna go out when it warms up again, i plan on fishing it a lot this year for something other than my usual flyfishing. i think i posted some pics from last years catfishing trips on the "pictures" section on this site, if you want to see what can be caught...

I never knew Barr could be as good as good as it is for cats until I recently started seeing all these great pictures. I have caught a few but hope to catch me a 10+lb this year. I am going strictly for them. Can't wait. Has anyone ever heard of fishing the outlet canals there?

Yeah I fugured they'd be dry until they start draining the lake for agricultural reasons. When I hunt waterfowl there I have seen a few little rainbows, a small cat, and a bunch of big carp swimming in the shallows. Was just curious if anyone knew about some lunkers coming out of them.
