I live at about Arapahoe & Broadway.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any ponds that are close to my house that I can fish? I'd like to hit something after work during the week now that the sun is up later.

Any suggestions?

south platte park is free, the west pond has largemouths and I think it is or used to be a hatchery to some degree, I remember Dan had a write up on it a year or two ago

Is it the big one furthest south west on this map?

If the top of the map is North than I hear the pond South of Mineral is pretty good. I fished it last Sunday but got nothing. Where I was fishing wasnt deep at all but I didnt walk around either so who knows.

yep, the "r: shaped one, the really big one that is north of mineral is not open to public. It drops pretty steep from the bank and evens out and is very clear and clean bottom, carolina rig is good option to start with alot of craws there too
Watson Pond, Just west of the Platte River south of Bowles, next to the golf course.
There is also three other ponds 1 Just south of Bowles about 3/4 of a mile west of Simms and another one about 1/2 mile east of Simms north of Ken Caryl. the last one is at Carr and Ute ( approx 470 and Kipling)
If none of those work for you and you don't catch anything maybe I'll let you in on my secret place very close to where you are at.
