fished bear creek today with my cousin jeremy ....caught alot of browns ...he got into a nice brookie in a beaver pond ..I ended up catching a nice brown ....we used wooly buggers, and dry flies ...here are a few pictures

This monster took me all the way into my backing ....

My cousin is thinking about getting this one mounted ...

One of two decent fish on the day ....the rest were all tiny ...I would estimate this one at 15inches ....didnt take the fish out of the water for the release .....

Thats about the size I was catching just above Morrison, I want to get further up towards Evergreen next time. Might have to stop by some of those beaver ponds too.

Catmann, Bear Creek runs from west of Evergreen through Morrisson to Bear Creek resevoire, then it's pretty iffy if it's worth fishing beyond that.

Thanks Fishon! By the way, is that you in the picture with the cat? I don't see so well, so what is it and how much did it weigh? It looks like a flattie, am I wrong?

I read an article on the internet (I'll see if I can find the link later) about bear creek, made me want to go up and try it out. The article said you can get back up there pretty far and be away from everyone for some good fishin time. Think the dude that wrote the article even said he saw a bear while he was there fishing. Always wondered how it got its name. :p
