I fished Bear Creek today from 10:00am to 1:00pm. I started in Morrison and worked down stream to Bear Creek Reservoir. I landed two resident trout. One was a brown approximately 9 inches the other was a rainbow under 7 inches. I did see two spawning rainbows just upstream from the lake. Ice was covering most of the hole they were in, and I could never get my fly to drift close enough to get a strike. Still nice to see big fish in a little creek.

Yeah, I have been thinking about Bear Creek....almost went there on Monday but went to Left Hand Canyon instead (cause I got away much later than I wanted to). Thanks for the report.

how was left hand canyon.
I heard that Boulder creek had some sort of spill. and the creek out of gross res. had significant fish kill due to low water. Not certain.

Left Hand looked real good to me, clear water, bugs, promising lies but I didn't see any fish or get any strikes (that I knew of). Boulder Creek IS messed up. Chocolate brown.
