Thinking about hitting up Bear Creek tomorrow? I wrangled a day off and need my fix. Any idea how the ice is or bite is? If it's junk where should I go instead?

there was 6-7 inches of good clear ice over the entire lake. The bite was tough. we had a nice brown trout at the hole but the line broke. if you catch on with a spoon in his lip, that one is mine. My buddy had what we think was a small mouth but the hook bent. two bites two fish and both got off
