I am planning a trip to the Vail area the second week of April and I am hoping to go on a float trip and do some wade fishing with my wife. I was wondering if anybody had recommendations for a reasonably priced guide and the best river to float that time of year. I haven’t fished that area of the state very much and any advice would help. Thanks.

Call Trouts Fly Fishing and ask for Jim - @ 303-733-1434

He used to work for a shop in Vail and knows the area.

Theo Anest.... Blue River. without a doubt. Look up Colorado Skies Outfitters in Parker CO... He is guiding a lot in Wyoming after the first week in April, so if you want him, going the first week would be reccomended. Great guide, fun person.

Theo no doubt. I worked with him at the Frostbite Fish-Off and Carpslam. Great guide, knowledgeable and a good sense of humor. He also has a lot of experience on the South Platte in Denver.
