I'm back.

So now the fishing tourament is past - the average fisherman just looking for 8 fish has found out it's not that easy.

Where is the bite? up the lake to the inlet, the bays, or at the dam?

I've been around kids..... 2 trips to Antero produced some nice fish - brought home 6 nice rainbows, 2 trips to 11 mile produced - zero - ziltch - noda 8)

Here's what worked for me.

Try the very first north parking lot, go 100 yards out, 10-12 feet of water, make sure you have "some" weeds below you.

Have your holes drilled and your lines in the water AS THE SUN COMES UP.

White Atomic Teasers tipped with a mealworm.

Bite will slow down progressively as the day winds on.

me, i go as far from other people as possible. in the middle of the lake. look for a weed line or patch. jig on a spot for 30 to 45 minutes, if nothings biting move. jigging a simple kastmaster works looking for them for me there. they slam it. gl.
and as above mentioned. have you holes drilled and lines wet by sunup. and hold on.
