Made it out to the Mac late Friday for a weekend camp over, and spent most of the night trolling the face of the dam in search large Wipers, only caught a small one.

We hit the lake again late Saturday afternoon, cruised to the the shollow tree filled south side in hopes of finding Walleye and struck out. Came back up mid-lake and worked the beaches from the a depth of 5ft to 22 feet and landed one small walleye and eight channel cats, largest being 3lbs.

Couldn't get the cats to bite chicken livers, but they were hitting the crawdad tails and the nightcrawlers. The Walleye took a crawdad tail and the Wiper took a chartruese wally diver.

Had a great time, no high winds or rain storms!

Pete,

It sounds like a good time and you caught enough for a good fish fry. Did you sleep on your boat or in a tent? Either would be fun.

That's all that matters.

Glad to hear everything went well. Was the boat ramps still easy to use? Which ones are still operable?

Hmmm... Did these two species switch roles?
                               ???
